The journey begins by generating income for local farmers while preventing the incineration of 80% of coconut husks.
The coconut husks are then processed into monomers, acting as building blocks for complex polyphenolic polymers. These polymers are combined with coconut humus with plant-based additives (patented), creating NetZero Pallets®.
NetZero Pallet® feature shipping and storage fees one-third that of wood and plastic pallets, are exempt from ISPM 15 regulations, and actively support ESG reporting and low carbon footprint logistics.
At the end of their life, NetZero Pallets® can be milled as soil improver to farmers.
(1) Climate Change: wood and plastic pallets have an average carbon footprint of 4,12 kg CO2 eq and 38,85 kg CO2 eq, respectively, and both face end-of-life incineration concerns
(2) Environmental Pollution: 80% of 73 billion coconut husks are landfilled or burned every year
